Rap and R&B Songs About Dicks, 1989 to Now
Rap made the subject explicit and R&B kept it coded, and both reached number one doing it. 2 Live Crew's Dick Almighty came off the first album a federal court ever ruled obscene; Next's Too Close was Billboard's biggest single of 1998 on nothing ruder than a "little poke". The modern half belongs to women, with Lil' Kim, CupcakKe, Megan Thee Stallion and Latto assessing the organ rather than adoring it, clipboard firmly in hand, and French and German rap bring the rest.
