My Dick by Mickey Avalon feat. Dirt Nasty & Andre Legacy (2006)

The structure fits in a sentence: three rappers take turns comparing their own dick, favourably, to somebody else's, unfavourably, through a rotating cast of cultural references. It has the rhythm of a playground insult game, which is what it is, and the persistence of a song that refuses to be about anything else for even one bar, like a salesman who has found your number.

Mickey Avalon was a Los Angeles rapper with a glam-sleaze persona, and this track, with Dirt Nasty, better known as the actor Simon Rex, and Andre Legacy, is what made him briefly famous around 2006. It spread on MySpace and the early video sites, got played at parties and landed on a couple of film soundtracks. It never charted, which for a certain age group has never mattered: for them it is an anthem.

Its afterlife is a reputation as the most single-minded record ever made about the subject. Only two dicks are under discussion and the words are said more often here than in any song we counted. Simon Rex later starred in Red Rocket as a washed-up porn star, which is the only career move on this list that counts as method acting.
