Pussy by Rammstein (2009)

Pussy is Rammstein at their most deliberately dumb: a stomping industrial riff, verses in German about sex tourism built on images of the Autobahn and German engineering, and a chorus sung in English so that nobody outside Germany could claim to have missed it. Till Lindemann delivers the anatomical line as a shrug, like a customs officer reading out a declaration. The song sets German and American attitudes to sex side by side, which is one way to describe a chorus that would not get past an American radio programmer with the lights on.

Released in September 2009, it became the band's first number one in Germany after fifteen years of near misses, proving that the shortest route to the top of the German chart ran through English. The Jonas Åkerlund video was explicit pornography, with body doubles standing in for the band in the explicit shots, the most German solution imaginable: delegate the specialist work to specialists.

Its afterlife is the chorus shouted by sixty thousand people a night who have no other English. It is the biggest explicit phallic hook in any language on this list, and the reason the German section needs a song whose title is about her.
