What the title means

"One of my balls itches." "Huevo" is egg and, in Spain, testicle; the song reports the itch, considers it, and ends, without seeing a doctor.

What the song is actually about

Siniestro Total came out of Vigo in 1981 as the comic conscience of the Movida, Spain's post-Franco cultural explosion, and Me pica un huevo is their purest statement: a punk sprint, written by Julián Hernández, in which the entire lyric is a complaint about one testicle. There is no second verse to speak of. The band play it as if it were an emergency, which, for the testicle in question, it was.

It came out in 1983 as the flip side of the single Sexo chungo, appeared on the Grandes Éxitos compilation the same year, and was added as a bonus track to the reissue of their debut album, ¿Cuándo se come aquí?, which is how most people found it. It has been in the set ever since; a Siniestro Total show without it is a contractual breach.

Its afterlife is the most quoted testicle in Spanish music. The phrase is used by people who have never heard the band, and the song is the Spanish Big Balls with the pretence removed: no aristocrat, no society ball, just a man and an itch. It is on this list because the Spanish section needed one entry where the organ is named and the song is about nothing else, and this is that entry.
