What the title means

"I came on the crank." "Esporrar" is the vulgar verb for ejaculating; the "manivela" is a crank handle; the song treats the combination as a workplace incident, with no forms filled in.

What the song is actually about

Raimundos came out of Brasília in the early 1990's playing hardcore punk crossed with forró, and sang about sex with the delight of teenagers who had just learned the words and found the dictionary. Esporrei na Manivela is on Lavô Tá Novo, their 1995 second album, produced by Mark Dearnley, who had worked with AC/DC, and it is the record's most direct title: a crude verb, a tool, and a chorus that does not elaborate because it does not have to.

The album went Platinum in Brazil and made Raimundos the loudest band in the country for a decade. Their other candidate for this list, Me Lambe from 1999, is left off: its subject is a seventeen-year-old, the band have acknowledged the problem, and no amount of hook qualifies it. Esporrei na Manivela has no such baggage; it is simply filthy.

Its afterlife is the title, which Brazilian rock fans of a certain age say to each other as a greeting. It is the Portuguese-language entry where the act is named rather than implied, the equivalent of Jizz in My Pants with a guitar instead of a keytar, and the reason the section does not consist entirely of innuendo. Health and safety were not consulted.
